A Conversation with Tom Vacarro

Hey, Nothing to review this month, I'm sorry. I searched and found nothing worthy of this space. But what I have for you is my continuing conversation with my new husband Tom Vacarro of Raging Stallions. He's a busy man, but when he has time, he answers questions that I throw at him. It's been an ongoing thing and I'll post more when I get them.

Here ya go: 

Nappy: So when did you realize that you were different from the other little boys?

Tom: As a matter of fact, I wasn't a kid when I discovered I was different. I was 20 years old, and on an airplane on my way to do volunteer work in Ecuador for the summer. The flight from Miami to Guayaquil was less than half full, and a Latino guy passed my seat on the way back to his own. We exchanged glances (maybe he said "hola" or something, I'm not sure.) Five minutes later, right before take off, he was back, asking if he could sit in my row. Figuring that I could use the opportunity to practice my Spanish, I said "sure".

We made the usual conversation (where we were from, why were we going to guayaquil,etc.) His name was Marco, and he was going to visit family. He had more than a couple of cocktails by the time dinner was over, and his questions of me started to get a little personal. He started asking if I had a girlfriend (I did, sort of) and why I could leave her for several months. Then he asked if we fucked alot before I left. And that led to him asking HOW I fucked her--- I mean, he wanted details. But I also noticed that the more I told him about how I fucked women, the closer he moved toward me, and that he started to push one of his legs up against mine. This would have freaked me out under any previous circumstances, but I also started noticing his moustache more and more, and how he kept licking it each time I gave him an explicit piece of info on my sexual encounters with women. He finally got gutsy enough to put his hand on my thigh, at which point I noticed that my erection was beyond blatant. Suddenly I got an EXTREMELY bizarre sensation in my gut. Not necessarily bad, just...completely foreign. And I knew---WHOA! Something's going on here!! At the same time, I didn't want him to be there next to me (perhaps I thought he might see something about me before I could) So, I made up something about having to go over some paper work for my volunteer project. He must've sensed me pulling back, and quickly returned to his original seat a few rows back. I was surprised, to say the least, about my "discovery". But by the time we landed, I had effectively shut it out of my mind, which was easy enough, since it was my first time in Ecuador, and I had quite a challenging summer of work ahead of me.

And that's how I came to realize that I was "different".

Nappy: Do you remember the first Gay video you ever saw?

Tom: Honestly, I don't remember the first gay video. I do, however remember the first straight adult video that I watched. The name of it was "Merry X-Miss." It was a bootlegged copy that a friend gave to me when I was fourteen. Also on the tape was another title: "Joy." I watched those movies over and over (whenever my parents weren't home!) Alas, I became hooked on pornography! Nappy: How did you get started at my favorite studio Raging Stallion? Tom: I met Chris Ward a IML in Chicago in 1998. I was there with my boyfriend, a freelance director for several studios in San Francisco. Chris was directing for Hot House at that time. He noticed me watching the fisting videos playing in our booth and asked if I'd be interested in doing a project for them. I'll admit it-- I had NEVER in my life seen a fisting before that day. I think Chris may have misread my shock as interest (or maybe he, in fact, saw through the shock) Anyways, I said "sure" and ended up doing a scene in "Powersurge" and, later on, in the absolutely wonderful "Fist for Hire". Later, when Chris informed me that he was forming his own studio, Raging Stallion, in 2000, it was easy for me to accept on offer to work with him again. Believe me--- with Chris in charge, I knew that the set was going to be a very enjoyable experience. My first project for RS was "SexPack 2." After seeing the footage of my scene with the muscled Dean Coulter, I knew that I was hooked up with a company that was destined for success! And I continue to look forward to being involved in more RS pictures in the future. Everyone there makes it such a pleasure, which shows in the final product.

Okay-- help me out. What were the other questions? Oh yeah. You asked if I was single or in a relationship. I'm single. And it's fine being single. But I'm a hopeless romantic, and I'd really would like to find true love. <sigh> I know he's out there somewhere!
